The Balkan-Bosphorus specialist
This relatively new company already has all the licences required for the Bulgarian rail network and is steadily expanding its portfolio. An ideal starting point for establishing Bulgaria as the major logistics hub on the Balkan peninsula.
The DB Cargo Bulgaria national company was founded in 2003 as a branch of Logistic Services Danubius. Over the last few years, DB Cargo Bulgaria EOOD has grown continually and now accounts for a share of approximately 14 per cent of the Bulgarian rail freight market. Originally concentrating on in-plant shunting services, the company now offers a comprehensive portfolio of traction services.
In the future, it will continue to develop international transports to and from Bulgaria as well as transit services. One key aspect of its business activities is cross-border traffic to Turkey. DB Cargo Bulgaria is the first private rail freight operator authorised to hand over and take over trains to and from Turkey.
