They are arguably two of Europe’s most famous building sites: the Fildertunnel on the new rail line between Stuttgart and Ulm, and the Schiersteiner bridge linking Mainz and Wiesbaden. Both projects involve large and heavy concrete components produced by the Max Bögle group, located in the Bavarian town of Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz. Transporting these by rail has eliminated countless lorry journeys, which is good news for both the environment and the road infrastructure.
