  • Bernhard Osburg has been a member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bahn AG since 15 November 2025 and is responsible for the freight transport division. At the same time, he is taking over as Chairman of the Management Board of DB Cargo AG in Mainz.

    Bernhard Osburg, born in 1968, held various executive and management positions at thyssenkrupp AG before joining Deutsche Bahn. In his most recent role as CEO, he was responsible for the global steel product portfolio with more than 100 industrial customers and over 30 automotive manufacturers.

    In over 20 years at Thyssenkrupp, Osburg contributed significantly to strengthening market leadership in a highly competitive environment and successfully expanded sales at national and international level. In one of the leading industrial companies, he was responsible for the strategic transformation to green steel and played a key role in extensive restructuring.

    Bernhard Osburg is a family man and lives with his family in Duisburg.
