Whether 100% renewable power on electrified routes with DBeco plus, HVO instead of diesel with DBeco fuel or offsetting unavoidable CO2e emissions with DBeco neutral, DB Cargo offers environmentally friendly freight transport options to all customers.
Everything under one roof with Climate+
Now, DB Cargo is making protecting the climate even easier. Customers can simply choose between regular transport or carbon-neutral transport with Climate+, the new name for our green products. If customers opt for Climate+, DB Cargo will ensure the most appropriate combination for avoiding or offsetting CO2e emissions along the entire transport chain. This means renewable power on electrified routes in Germany and other countries, the use of HVO on diesel routes in Germany, and offsetting emissions via climate protection projects if the first two measures are not possible. The guiding principle here is always avoiding CO2e emissions. By removing the need to choose between different products, this also makes effective climate protection even easier for our customers. One area where nothing has changed at all is transparency. Under Climate+ too, we will continue to provide information about the type and level of CO2e savings in the form of annual certificates. This is the recipe for successful green freight transport!
