    A further 606 freight wagons are now travelling with reduced noise levels

    Transfesa Logistics has completed the installation of quiet brake blocks (so-called composite brake pads) in all 606 freight wagons it operates in Spain and Portugal. The refitting of the wagons was fully funded by the Next Generation EU programme. This figure is in addition to the almost 100 wagons that the company itself has already retrofitted, as well as the freight wagons for international transport, which are also already equipped with these noise reduction systems.

    ‘The goal has been achieved, our entire fleet is now travelling with reduced noise - a major milestone for the environment,’ says Idoia Galindo, Managing Director of Transfesa Logistics.
