Your specialist for automotive and wood logistics
DB Cargo Logistics organises and controls individual logistical solutions for customers from the automotive and wood logistics industries using its strong rail network.
DB Cargo Logistics GmbH came into being on 1 September 2016 following the merger of the two logistics companies DB Schenker Rail Automotive GmbH and DB Schenker Nieten GmbH. These two European market leaders in rail-based automotive and wood logistics thus combined their expertise in a joint company.
Using the international rail network, DB Cargo Logistics GmbH designs, organises and controls intermodal transport with the aim of setting new standards in logistics by developing innovative and sustainable logistics solutions.
Expansion of the network
Our unique, Europe-wide rail network enables us to utilise synergies and to also optimally combine transport flows intermodally. We can thus adapt transport concepts individually to the requirements of our customers. This network is destined to grow further. We have already overcome European borders and successfully connected growth markets such as China and Russia to our network.
Further growth in conjunction with our customers
Experience, quality and innovative solutions have made us the market leader in our sectors. We want to further extend this role in future and are continuously working on further developing our product range. Our network at intermodal terminals intelligently combines different modes of transport and a majority of transport has been relocated to the railways to improve the carbon footprint.
Pioneer in ecological and sustainable transport solutions
The railways are already the most environmentally friendly mode of transport. The CO2 emissions caused by rail goods traffic are 75% lower than for road transport. But we go a step further. With our innovative Eco Plus product we offer our customers the option of reducing the CO2 emissions of their transport within Germany by 100%. Therefore, not only is the climate footprint of our customers reduced, but an active contribution is also made to protecting the environment and natural resources. We intend to set new standards for the sustainable logistics of the future.
