Article: Day of the Railway also in Halle - Full speed ahead in glorious sunshine

A wide range of activities and exclusive guided tours made the Day of the Railway also in Halle an unforgettable experience.

It was that time again last weekend: numerous railway sites across Germany opened their doors for Day of the Railway - and there was plenty to discover in Halle too! In glorious weather, the site manager, Katharina Blaumann, and her dedicated team welcomed numerous visitors.Whether young or old, railway fans got their money's worth: from exciting hands-on activities to informative exhibitions - the fascination of the railway was brought to life here. The mini-train ride with DB Cargo shunting locomotive driver Lukas Böhme was particularly popular, as he had lots of fun doing little laps. And anyone who has always wondered how a locomotive actually works could get first-hand answers here.

The opportunity to visit the maintenance depot and the electronic interlocking was also particularly interesting. Here, visitors were able to gain an exciting insight into the technology and work processes behind the scenes. A big thank you also went to the THW, which supported many events with great commitment and received a well-deserved donation in return.

An all-round successful day that showed once again: The railway connects - people, technology and enthusiasm.
