Article: DB Cargo FLS Opens Representative Office in Kyiv and Strengthens Supply Chains Between Ukraine and Europe
DB Cargo Full Load Solutions (TRANSA Spedition GmbH) has opened a representative office in Kyiv. The new location supports Ukraine’s economic recovery, strengthens cross-border supply chains, and improves the country’s link to the European Economic Area.
The office coordinates multimodal transport and logistics services, particularly for European companies. It helps industry, trade, and infrastructure and aid projects organize reliable supply chains and serves as a local point of contact for transport and logistics. In the coming months, the focus will be on developing and preparing corridor solutions for companies and goods from all industries.
The Ukrainian team is establishing the necessary partner network and handling the complex customs requirements and border crossings on behalf of clients. It also advises companies on establishing stable transport chains between Europe and Ukraine.
Local expertise is vital for responding quickly and flexibly to customer needs or infrastructure challenges, especially given the challenging conditions in Ukraine. This is true pioneering work and an important foundation for a rapid and stable ramp-up of transport logistics as soon as Ukraine’s reconstruction gains momentum.
The new office marks the next step following more than four years of business development by DB Cargo FLS in Ukraine. During this time, the company has already carried out rail transport for various customers to and from Ukraine while simultaneously establishing humanitarian transport corridors, supporting the EU’s “Solidarity Lanes,” developing a partner network, and expanding its cooperation with the Ukrainian railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia. In addition, a Competence Center Ukraine has been established.
The new multimodal logistics services are therefore consistently geared toward the reconstruction and further development of the Ukrainian market. “The opening of our new office in Ukraine underscores our commitment to civilian logistics. We will connect Ukraine with Europe and consistently align our logistics services with the country’s reconstruction. Our customers benefit from a central point of contact that combines local expertise in Ukraine with DB Cargo’s European network,” says Christian Jeck, Head of DB Cargo FLS.
DB Cargo Full Load Solutions’ new representative office in Kyiv strengthens the organisation of multimodal transport and logistics services for shipments between Ukraine and Europe.
