Outfoxing the competition

A year ago, we redesigned our customer magazine, railways, and we recently earned our first award for it. At the FOX AWARDS, railways was presented with a gold award in the category of "transportation and logistics: external communication".

Before the award ceremony, railways underwent a three-stage process of analysis, where points were collected for the efficiency of communications in corporate publishing. The award is handed out when a certain number of points is attained.

The gold award recognises a "communications concept with above-average efficiency performance in all criteria, which therefore serves as an inspiring model in its category". The FOX AWARDS assess aspects such as the quality of the content through all the channels that are utilised, the brand congruence of substantive and visual presentation, and ease of use.

"This is a smashing success, and at the same time it serves to confirm the fact that we hit all the right notes when we relaunched railways a year ago", said Thorsten Meffert, Vice President of Marketing at DB Cargo, who is responsible for railways. "Our gratitude also goes out to our agency, MPM Corporate Communications Solutions, for its many strong ideas and implementation." Philipp Mann, Managing Director of MPM in Mainz, was also pleased with the result: "Together with our client, we are delighted at this outstanding showing at one of the most distinguished competitions for corporate publishing in Germany."

2018 marked the eighth year the FOX AWARDS were presented by dapamedien Verlags KG. This is the first time that railways has participated in the competition.
